DR. MICHAEL ANNING

DC, BA (Kin), CSCS, CAFCI

Dr. Michael Anning is one of the founding members of the Sarnia Chiropractic and Performance Centre. Dr. Anning graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. He went on to achieve his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. Michael has completed post-graduate courses in medical acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada, soft tissue release, radiology, first responder, and is also certified from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a C.S.C.S. Dr. Anning has experience practicing in Yorkville Toronto at a leading edge multidisciplinary practice where he worked with amateur, national level and professional athletes (representing the NHL, AHL, OHL, NCAA) as well as various media personalities, celebrity clients and CEO's. Dr. Anning is the team chiropractor for the Sarnia Legionnaires of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. He currently treats athletes in many different disciplines including the OHL, European professional leagues, and the National Hockey League. He has a keen interest in sports specific personal training and fitness, and has worked with the Sarnia Sting to help create an off-season fitness training regimen. Dr. Anning’s unique training background helps him to incorporate functional movements into active care. He utilizes training regimens to assist with low back pain and physical rehabilitation. He is specifically interested in the role of exercise and low back pain prevention. Dr. Anning was born and raised in Sarnia. Personally he is married and the father to three children and enjoys playing hockey, golf and training year round. He has also enjoyed competing in high level hockey as well as endurance sports, including marathons and an ironman 70.3.
